TrimBleed

The browser preview scales to fit this page. The downloaded SVG preserves the dimensions shown in the calculator.

How the layout is calculated

1. Build the footprint

Bleed is added to every edge of the trim size. A 2-inch sticker with 0.0625-inch bleed therefore occupies 2.125 inches before the cutting gap.

2. Fit complete rows

The calculator subtracts equal sheet margins, then fits only complete columns and rows. It tests the artwork in both orientations when rotation is enabled.

3. Plan production

Required sheets are rounded up. Unused positions show the spare capacity on the final sheet, while trim-area use excludes bleed and gaps.

Columnsfloor((usable width + gap) / (footprint width + gap))Rowsfloor((usable height + gap) / (footprint height + gap))

Before printing or cutting

  • Confirm the printable area and non-printing margins for the exact printer and media.
  • Use the cutter or print provider's required bleed, safe zone and registration marks.
  • Print one sheet at 100% scale and measure it before producing the full quantity.
  • For kiss-cut stickers, treat the SVG as a layout guide rather than a finished machine preset.

Sticker sheet layout questions

Does the capacity include bleed?

Yes. Each piece is fitted using its trim size plus bleed on all four sides. The separate gap is then placed between neighboring bleed boxes.

Why can rotation change the quantity?

Rows and columns must be whole numbers. Swapping width and height can use the available sheet proportions more efficiently even when the sticker is rectangular.

Can I send the SVG directly to a cutter?

Use it as a dimensioned starting layout. Cutter software, registration marks, blade offsets and vendor templates vary, so verify the file in the production system first.
