About Handy Tool Lab

We build focused tools that give useful answers quickly, without requiring an account or sending working files to a server when browser processing is possible.

What we build

Handy Tool Lab is an independent directory of calculators, converters, image and PDF utilities, text tools, and developer helpers. Each page is designed around a specific task, clear inputs, and an understandable result.

Browser-first processing

Many tools process text, images, and documents entirely in your browser. This reduces unnecessary uploads and keeps the core service inexpensive. A tool page explains when content is stored locally or when a limitation applies.

Accuracy and corrections

We test formulas and common workflows, but rates, standards, browser behavior, and marketplace rules can change. Important results should be checked against an authoritative source. We welcome specific correction reports that include the tool, input, expected result, and supporting source.

How the site may be funded

The site may later be supported by clearly identified advertising. Advertising will not change calculator formulas or permit advertisers to access the files you process locally. Before advertising or analytics is enabled, this site will update its disclosures and deploy any consent mechanism required by applicable law.

How tools are built and reviewed

Handy Tool Lab is responsible for the design, code, calculations, and published copy on this site. Each tool is built around a defined task, tested with repeatable examples, and checked for clear failure states before publication.

Formula-based tools cite authoritative or first-party references when a suitable source exists. Browser utilities are tested with representative input and output cases. Sources and assumptions are shown on the tool page when they materially affect the result.

Automation and translations

We use reusable templates, build scripts, automated tests, and translation workflows to keep pages consistent. Automation does not replace functional testing or justify publishing a page that does not provide a working tool.

Localized pages are checked for complete interface coverage, working links, valid metadata, and obvious language leakage. We do not claim that every translation has been reviewed by a native speaker, so specific language corrections are welcome.

Review dates and corrections

A review date is changed only when the tool, its method, a material source, or the explanatory content is substantively checked or updated. Dates are not changed merely to make a page appear fresh.

Correction reports should include the page URL, exact inputs, observed result, expected result, and a reliable supporting source where applicable. Material calculation and security issues receive priority.
