How deep should garden soil be?

How many bags of soil are in a cubic yard?
The answer depends on bag volume. A 1 cubic foot bag covers one twenty-seventh of a cubic yard before rounding and allowance.
Should I buy bulk soil or bags?
Bulk soil is often more economical for larger areas, while bags can be easier for small or hard-to-access beds. Compare delivery and minimum charges.
