How the X video downloader works
After you submit a public post URL, the server uses yt-dlp to find the MP4 renditions that X actually exposes. The highest pixel resolution is selected first. Your browser downloads the original MP4 directly from X when possible; if that fails, this site tries to relay the file. Neither path transcodes or stores a video copy.
X may provide several quality levels for one post. A higher number in a filename does not create a sharper video, so this tool lists only resolutions returned for the post. The exact choices can change when a post or X's media delivery changes.
Availability, limits, and permissions
Only public posts with directly available MP4 files and a known duration are supported. Private, deleted, login-restricted, live, and HLS-only media may not work. The tool limits videos to 5 minutes and 100 MB per download. The relay has a shared hourly bandwidth allowance. A successful format check does not guarantee X's media CDN will still respond when you download.

Questions
Does the highest-quality MP4 include sound?
The downloader uses X's original MP4 files rather than a video-only HLS stream. For the sample post, the 1080p MP4 was verified to include video and AAC audio. Other posts depend on what X serves.
Can I download WebM, AVI, or an audio-only file?
Not from this page. It lists the original downloadable MP4 renditions and does not label a transcoded file as an original X format.
Why is a resolution missing?
X does not expose every size for every post, and some posts only provide adaptive HLS playback. The page shows what the extractor found at inspection time.
Does the video go through your server?
Usually no. The server checks the public post, then your browser downloads the MP4 from X directly. If direct access fails, the site attempts a bounded relay. The file is not stored on the server.
